*On the streets of Ponyville, the ground is soaked from an earlier storm, and the rain is finally beginning to stop*

*Pixel heads out to run some errands now that the sky is clearing up*

Pixel: ..........Oh hey is that Sky...? It is! Sky! long time no see!

Cloudy: ...

Pixel: Sky? Are you- Woah! What's wrong?

Cloudy: ...Sorry? Uh oh, n-nothing don't worry about it *sniff*

Pixel: Don't even try lying to me missy, you're covered in mud and crying!

Cloudy: R-really it's just the rain.

Pixel: It stopped raining a while ago, now tell me what happened!

*Cloudy realizing it's not worth putting up a fight with Pixel, gives in*

Cloudy: *sigh* I was at one of Sugar's gatherings, and I was just talking with some ponies, and these guys came up to us and started saying some hurtful things t-to the poines I was speaking with. I figured that maybe they just didn't realize what they were saying so I asked them to leave us alone because they weren't being all that nice. Then they focused their attention purely on me, they must've known who I am, cause they started saying stuff like why are you even here? Your b-beauty doesn't even match up to your gorgeous sisters! You're so ugly!

Pixel: !

Cloudy: Th-then they all started laughing, *sniff* and one of them pushed me into the mud, then even more people joined in with the laughter.... I.. I didn't know what else to do, so I just ran and left...

Pixel: Oh Cloudy... You know you can't listen to those bozos! They were only trying to get a reaction out of you! And actually..... Were they drunk?

Cloudy: .....They may have been...

Pixel: That explains it, there's no way someone could look at you and say such things with a clear head!

Cloudy: ...

Pixel: ... Sky, you don't believe what they said do you??

Cloudy: ................. Well it is true though, Sugar and Candy are so much prettier than me... As are many other poines, yourself included.

Pixel: You can't be seri- Sky, you are one of the most GORGEOUS ponies I've ever met! You can't keep comparing yourself to others, focus on your own beauty.

Cloudy: I-I guess....

Pixel: Seriously, when was the last time you looked in a mirror!?

Cloudy: .....

Pixel: ...........

Cloudy: .............................

Pixel: ................Really?

Cloudy: ........

Pixel: Like, actually? How long.

Cloudy: ...aboutayearorso-

Pixel: HOW

Cloudy: Ahh I just-

Pixel: We need to take you to a professional, stat.

Cloudy: Wha- Who?

Pixel: We're going to see Aunt Rarity!

*Bell Rings*

Rarity: Welcome! Oh! if it isn't my favourite niece! *hugs Pixel*

Pixel: I'm your only niece.

Rarity: Details dearie, details. Now what are you- *Gasp* Goodness gracious what happened to you?

Cloudy: Ahaha, It's a bit of a long story...

Pixel: *Whispers to Rarity* To make it brief, she's having a Major self esteem issues, Sky can't seem to be able to see herself as beautiful.

Rarity: I see...

Pixel: Oh, also she hasn't managed to look at her own reflection for a year or so.

Rarity: WHAT

Pixel: I KNOW

Cloudy: Ummm may I ask why you brought me here again?

Rarity: Ah, well I'm going to help you Miss........ forgive me your name escapes me.

Cloudy: Cloudy, Cloudy Skies.

Rarity: Right! You're one of Pinkie's kids aren't you!

Cloudy: That I am

Rarity: Wonderful family the Pies... But ah I'm dawdling, come! Let's get you cleaned up, and we can talk about your issues.

*Walks into another room*

Rarity: What happened to your glasses? They're cracked.

Cloudy: I uh..... tripped.

Rarity: That's a shame... For now, hand them to me.

*Hands over glasses*

Rarity: What's your prescription?

Cloudy: -3.00. Why?

Rarity: Have you worn contacts before?

Cloudy: Yeah a few times, usually for special occasions.

Rarity: Good, we'll get you some temporary contacts.

Cloudy: Thank you Miss Rarity

Rarity: That's quite all right Cloudy. SpiiiiiiiiiiiiIIIIIIIIiiiiiiiiiikkeeeeee~!

*thump thump thump*

Spike: *pokes his head through door* mmmmmmmmmyyyes?

Rarity: Could you get me a pair of -3.00 contacts from upstairs? And see to it that these glasses go on my desk to be fixed.

Spike: Yes Maam. *salutes*

*thump thump thump*

Cloudy: Upstairs? If you don't mind me asking, why do you have contacts ready to be used by anyone?

Rarity: You would be suprised how many people with broken glasses end up on my doorstep.

Cloudy: I see...

*Rarity picks up towel and begins to help Cloudy clean off the mud*

Rarity: Now, explain to me exactly what it is about your appearance that you seem to dislike.  I'd imagine a pony of your beauty would be complemented all the time!

Cloudy: *blushes* Well, I guess that is true... But there are also people who call me ugly as well...

Rarity: What?! Darling you are beauuuuutiful. You simply can not rely on the words of others to define yourself sweetie. No doubt words of encouragement will be helpful, but you will never really believe you are beautiful until you learn to see it with your own eyes. And I can tell you avoiding Mirrors is certainly not going to help you with that.

Cloudy: ........yeah I guess not...

*Pixel hands Rarity a hairbrush*

Pixel: Sky I"m still kinda confused, I thought you got over your confidence issues a long time ago? With the help of your sisters? Friends? Mum?

Cloudy: W-well in many ways I did, ever since I got my cutie mark I understood who I was, and what I was meant to do. Not to mention finally realizing I needed glasses certainly helped.

Pixel: I'm sure they helped you see cleeeeearly then?

Cloudy: .................................*pffft*

Pixel: HA! Made you laugh!

*Cloudy sticks her tongue out at Pixel*

Cloudy: You are right though, with the help of everyone I was able to overcome so much...

Pixel: Problems with looks still lingered though eh?

Cloudy: Yeah...

Rarity: Well that's what now is for, now that the issue has been addressed it will be much easier for us to help you.

Cloudy: Thank you again, for all this.

Rarity: It's no trouble at all, I'm glad to help.

*Finishes fixing up Cloudy's hair*

Rarity: There, all done.

Cloudy: That's it? Aren't you going to dress me up and put on make up or anything? Isn't that what you do?

Rarity: Trust me, (as tempting as it is) you don't need it.

*They head into the main room*

Spike: *Hands Cloudy contacts* Here are your contacts milady

Cloudy: Thank you good sir

*Puts contacts in*

Rarity: Now, since you haven't seen your own reflection for around a year, I imagine it will be a bit of a shock at first too see it, unfamiliar even. Especially since you're at the age where your body would change a lot at a fast rate, a year can change a lot. I wouldn't worry about that though, your looks have definitely changed for the better, if at all.

*Lights dim*

Rarity: Close your eyes Cloudy

*Closes eyes*

Rarity: I'll make it so all you can see is yourself, and you don't end up distract or compare yourself with anything around you.

*Spike rolls a mirror in front of Cloudy, and Rarity illuminates the mirror*

Rarity: Ok, open your eyes sweetie

*Eyes open*

Cloudy: *gasp*

Pixel: ...What do you see?

Cloudy: ......

Cloudy: *tears up*

Cloudy: ................................. A pony who is truly beautiful.

Ah yes, making this has made me realize I'm not really the best when it comes to writing something serious.
I feel like this is filled with more jokes than powerful moments... Bah. I'm not much of a writer anywhosies.

This is my entry for 's contest, where we were meant to feature one of her characters overcoming something.
And in mine I had Cloudy overcoming, or at least beginning to overcome her self esteem issues. If you didn't figure that out already XD
I actually already had the idea for this interaction before the contest, it was pretty convenient X3
